NOTES ON OUR TEACHING
The Useless Room’s performer training focuses on physical listening, availability, and action arising from necessity.
Participants attune to internal impulse and respond to the conditions of body, space, and relation. Through individual and collective practice, impulse is stripped of habit and carried into action. The work cultivates freedom, precision, endurance, and the capacity to experiment.
Its distinct approach emphasizes unlearning: clearing habitual patterns to reveal a responsive, essential body. The training explores presence, form, and relationship with space, objects, and others as sources of creation.
